When Gemma is out of the house and I'm left to fend for myself, it doesn't get much easier than this...
Gem' has gone for something to eat so I could be lazy and order 'another' takeaway or I could make the effort to put something together that is almost as lazy as ordering my next feast!
"It doesn't get much easier than this..."
I'm trying my hardest to cut down on my bread intake so having a traditional hotdog would not be the best thing for the waistline but a wholemeal wrap might just be the ticket.
Below is a list of ingredients you will need to make these quick and easy cheese, wrap hotdog things...
2 x Wholemeal Wraps
2 x Cheese Slices
1 x Small Onion
1 x tsp Butter
Pinch of Pepper
Half a spoon of Garlic Powder
2 x tbsp Petit Pois Peas
American Style Mustard (Usually found in B&M)
Put the cheap sausages into a pan of water along with a few Petit Poi's Peas
(I add peas to almost everything and Gemma isn't keen so I usually put 1-3 on the side of her plate just to wind her up!) and let them simmer for 5 minutes.
While those are simmering put the wholemeal wraps in the oven to warm through and chop your small onion.
Add the onion and 1 knob of butter to a pan with a pinch of pepper and half a tsp of Garlic powder. If you fancy a kick you can always put some chilli in at this point.
Cook the onion down until it becomes soft and translucent.
We are almost ready to put it all together...
Take the wraps out of the oven and add the cheese slices, then be ready to go crazy with the American Mustard.
I use the one in the picture below from B&M and have no idea if it tastes like genuine American Yellow Mustard but it's not hot and I love it!
Next lay the sausages in the wraps along with a few spoons of peas, the onion and that American Mustard.
Then get rolling and you are ready to tuck in to these simple yet tasty cheesy hotdog wraps.
DONE & EASY!
Let me know if you try this out or if you have a simple fix for those times you fancy banging something together that's just as quick and easy! x
